You're right, it doesn't make any sense at all. I used to do this as a kid - "I want it, I want it now, NOW!" And of course, you get it and then get bored with it (whatever IT might be) and move on to the next. I gradually got over that ... after I got married and firmly in the grip of corporate life and middle age, the only thing I "wanted" was peace and quiet.
Then I got into this silly G-A-S thing a couple years ago, saw they were making re-issues of ALL my dream guitars from the 60s, and the 16-yr-old took over. Only this time it was a "16-yr-old" with more disposable income than a paper route could provide. And I keep saying, just ONE MORE GUITAR, and then I'll stop!
So here I am. "My name is Jerry, and I'm a guitar player."

I know what you mean..... Hence fender.com, basses link, custom shop limited editions, Bass VI. I think I'm ready to be divorced.

I also know what you mean. You wait a long time to buy your first guitar, then first thing you know, the place is crawling with them! Not only are we all somewhere between our first note and our last, we all seem to be somewhere between the first guitar we wanted....and the next one...
I have a c63 on deposit with Music Zoo...we'll see how long it takes. Can anyone shed some light on the difference in sound (I know the spec differences) between the 360/12c63 and the 350/12v63?

Some interesting news. Here is a quote from the RIC production manager on the RIC site:
"We have a ton of 360/12C63's in production right now. These will start showing up in droves by the end of June and start of July."
Keep the faith guys...and girls

I intend to line things up so wave after wave of these models come through by the end of the month and start of July. We've never produced this many at one time.

Ben, thanks for that great news. I know I've been waiting since March of 2005, and I haven't anticipated anything so much since I was a kid. I know it will be worth the wait. Now, I just have to hope that MINE is somewhere in this batch. (I think I'm around #27 with Gary at NCM.)
Just curious - I know from reading this forum and the RIC forum that your regular models are pretty much always in production, but how do you decide how often to run a batch of your special models, like the 360/12C63?
Just trying to prepare myself if mine is NOT in this batch....

there goes the blood pressure again. the day the c63 comes will be like a million dollar bash
p.s. my son will never touch it - you must understand, to see his guitars gives whole new meaning to the word "grunge".
