Well, Sheena...Britain is where the British people live...the 'United' Kingdom consists of some of their 'takings'...
It's sorta like the way Afghanistan used to be Russian, and now it's American! Oh well, it keeps the mapmakers and flag factories in business...

Roy, I didn't vote for that little worm in the White House, it's good to see his own Congress going against him lately. He's a lame duck and they're trying to save their own asses. They're all pigs.
I'm a Texan first, American second.

Yee-Haaaaw! If I were a Texan, I wouldn't want them Maine-n-Wyoming millionaires touchin' a feather on a Texas quail's lil' head...

There's a new campaign to get things straightened out in the USA. It's called ITMFA. Anybody who can't guess what the acronym stands for, can write me offlist. The first and last letters are "Impeach" and "Already". The second is "The".

A bit incorrect, Dane. "USSR-ian", to be precise... and not officially admitted, of course.
Didn't mean to talk politics on the public forum... oh well...

Perhaps it will turn out that (to paraphrase A. Lincoln): you really can't F*** all of the people all of the time...

To get impeached I think you have to do something REALLY bad like get a BJ in the Oval Office, all Bush has done is get most of the planet ****** at us, and several thousand of our soldiers killed.

Sheena...not much is being officially admitted here these days either. But just to be clear about the history: those were Russian boys coming home in boxes, weren't they?

I'm not a fan when this place gets political. This where I come to escape the every day politics of our world.

Is it "this place", or just this thread? If it's just this thread, perhaps you could skip over it.

Okay...I apologize yet again for letting my mind wander away from potentiometers and into matters less consequential...
I remember lots of people in the sixties didn't want to talk politics, either...yet another aspect our modern era shares with that 'happier time'...

Russian, Ukrainian, Bielorussian, Moldovian, etc, etc, etc... Let us stop here, Dane - okay?..

I agree in that I don't want to get political and I did not vote for Blair either Ronn in fact 60% of the British people didn't. Only reason I commented was the thread seemed to be going that way. Musically I think in the sixties there were loads of songs reflecting viewpoints today I can't immediately think of any except perhaps rap or should that be spelt with a c.

Sure wish we could, Sheena....
Oh, you're referring to the conversation...okay, fine by me...
Soooo...I've got this scratchy potentiometer on my bass...I really gotta do something about that before the next gig...
