I think my addiction is masked by the fact that I'm a pro musician. I actually NEED 10 Rickenbackers & can justify all of them.....well....nearly all.....OK, I can justify 5 of them, but the others are backups....honest!
I'm not in denial......

One in the closet, one with PW, and one on order.

What was that comment about me being "in the closet"?

What's the treatment? Well... moving to a place where you can hardly get one may help... the question is, do you really need such a cure?

Moving to a place where you can hardly get one doesn't work. It only costs you more when you go ahead and get them anyways (either shipping it in or flying/driving/floating out to get them!!)

Well, I certainly can vouch for the topic of this discussion. I didn't even belong to this forum when Ric came a callin'! A friend did and knew I was looking for my "first" one and turned me on to a one-time poster and the next thing you know, I'm $750.00 light (BUT WHAT A STEAL - but that's another story) and a proud new owner.
Then what to do? Why, join the forum, of course.

What you got?

Doc, Welcome! I like your philosophy. Buy a Rickenbacker and then tell the world about it. That is essentially what we do here while having fun at the same time.

Welcome, Dave! You're in the right place!
So tell us about your first Rickenbacker, and show us some pics, too!

Thanks for the warm welcome.
She's a 330 Fireglo. I gent named Randy Palmer posted it here and a friend (not sure of his user name) alerted me - because as you know, they don't last long. Randy wasn't a player and he said if he held it 15 minutes, he'd be surprised. He wasn't kidding. It is absolutely brand new. (Feb 2005 purch. date) Had the original strings - THAT WERE STILL BRIGHT!
You get my sense of excitement here? I think Randy was applying "normal" depreciation to an item that doesn't depreciate...right? In any event, it has a happy home. I'm now hopelessly hooked! (but appear to be in understanding company)

You need to shrink 'em down to 36k and make dimensions under 500x500. Feel free to email them to me and i'll post them for you, if you're unable to do it.

A 330 Fireglo.... That was my first Ric, too, although mine was not in such great condition (You will find the story of its restoration as you peruse this forum).... It was still love at first jangle, though!

Congratulations!
