Hahaha.... They're building an Outback Steakhouse in Duluth, right near the airport.... It would be a hoot to take a real Aussie to one of those, LOL!

Jermaine Clements is the name of the guy in the commercials. I googled it and somewhere it said he is part of a comedy duo "Flight of the Conchords."

Nothing's ever the same after Kevin "Bloody" Wilson's been in the vicinity, Dean!
I must say I've never heard of Jermaine Clements, Jason. Jermaine Jackson, Germaine Greer, yes.......
Notes:
1. Take some Aussie notes with me.
2. Don't sing any Kevin "Bloody" Wilson ditties.
3. Be sure it's an onion, not an echidna.
4. Tell the joke about the water buffalo farting.

Mike,
I lived in Mar Vista, on Centinela up the hill from Venice Blvd.
Howard,
I have a feeling you will be seeing the inside of all the Outbacks in every town you visit!

Seems that way, Jeff. Is there one in Cleveland? I may have had enough of them by then.... sushi will be a nice change!

I've gotten quite a kick out of these comments! Very funny stuff. Check out
www.outback.com. I think the commercials are on there.
There are almost 700 company-owned Outbacks in the states. I should probably know the exact number, since I'm one of their tax accountants at the home office! Most of the West Coast is franchised, so I can't vouch for those.

Yeah, Howard, we have one, not too far from here. Sushi will definitely be the order of the day! With Aboriginal fire sauce.

Actually I've just checked the menu on the website and they serve the Aboriginal fire sauce with the Boomerang Shrimp, not Tasmanian Buffalo Wings.
We don't have shrimp in Australia, but we do have prawns. And there is nothing 'boomerang' about them, although if you eat an 'off' prawn it will definitely come back up again!

Aitch, I went to Outback last night to make sure it was safe for your consumption. The boomerangs do say "Made In China". The air conditioning was working, the staff were quite handy with their fly swatters, and BTW the New York strip steak was tasty, so I had three...

Only three, Paul? Just a snack.....
"Roasted garlic mashed potatoes". What??? No spring onions and gravy??
If any of that seafood does come out of Botany Bay then they're forgetting to mention the delightful mercury and petrochemical "tang".

Y'know, Howard, there are other "theme" restaurants you'll have to visit while you're here; there's one chain that has an Owl theme, at least in it's name and logo, we'll have to go there for sure.

Sounds good, Lindsay..... I'll give anything a go. However, if there's a 'non-chain, non-theme' restaurant you'd prefer then let's do it. Don't need a theme to eat!

Howard, don't miss this one while you're here... I believe Lindsay is referring to *******. Also born in the Tampa Bay area, I might add!
