The problem with cloning a 4002 would be the pickups. JH has stated that they are quite unique and constitute a significant reason for the different tone of the bass, and I don't think that he's willing to give out the specs, even to owners of the instrument. They are patented, after all.
I know Dave P. was looking for pups for his 4002 & I don't think he had any luck yet.

I'd go with 4004 pickups. Not the same but they look close enough and when positioned in the 4002 locations (like a Fender Jazz), will hopefully sound close to a 4002.

I'd also leave the sharkfin inlays and bubinga fretboard. I'm not thinking of an exact replica, just the general look - the pickguard, 4004 pickups, and 4002 pickup layout.
