Only
one beer, Darren? You're easily pleased.......
Then again, the expression 'let's pop down the pub for a beer'
never means 'a beer'!

Got mine. I talked with Richard (?) at RIC today to clear up how the ticket pricing works. When you go to the HOB site and buy tickets, it takes you automatically to Ticketmaster. There are two levels of ticket prices, $50 and $75. If you go to the Saturday event at the Museum of Making Music, keep your stub to get the "gold level" ticket at HOB. So you buy the $50 ticket and get upgraded with your ticket stub. At least that's the way I understand it. I have mine on will call, and will pocket my stub for the upgrade. Also, if you buy the ticket on-line with a credit card, you need to have that credit card and I.D. with you to pick up the ticket at will call.

Looks like this is the only event I'll be able to make. I sure look forward to seeing all of you there!

Squared away today with hotel reservations, Museum of Making Music, and HOB.
I live in the Los Angeles area but decided to go the hotel route. Looks like I'll be bussing it with all of you from the hotel to the Museum.
Spoke with an old friend today who will be flying in from Monterey for the Friday-Saturday events. Haven't seen him in over ten years.
I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you. I've posted before, but mostly enjoy reading all your comments.
I'm sure we'll find out in due time how the tour, informal jam, and transportation to the Museum will work.
This is going to be great!

Got mine by phone and it's all set. I agree, this is going to be great!
Glenn - a thought - get a ticket to the Museum and use it for Gold upgrade. $25 more that way but you will get VIP that way, and it benefits the Museum. So you don't use it.... ehh.

Ticketmaster had a glitch with regard to the VIP tickets that's now been sorted out. Their system requires that the split between tickets must total the house and doesn't recognize any "options", so to speak. Anyway, as of this afternoon, there were about 160 VIP tickets left and when we get down to about 20, we'll reallocate some from general. But I think most of you are doing the Museum even upgrade, so it's a moot point.

I see Ticketmaster is charging $2.50 to email the tickets or you can have them mailed for free. That's just plain WRONG!

Yes, Dan, I said that's like logic one only usually expects to find from gov. agencies.

I thought charging for email delivery was a little cheeky too. I didn't say so but she sounded put out when I said to just mail them to me - it's almost a month away.

On a sad note, 3 people were stabbed outside of the HOB in Hollywood tonight.

Wow....What happened? I couldn't find an online article about it (just about something similar from the HOB a couple years ago).
