Along with wishing for a return to seeing the 4001 in concert, does anyone know if Paul has his action set at high, medium or low? By the tone of his work, I would guess medium, but I differ to you experts.

Anyone, anyone at all!

Per an email from John Hall, Paul still has the C64 prototype.

Alvaro, I think I have that poster. I'll try to upload a picture of it this evening.

He also has a second one in Fireglo that was presented to him on Fuji Television in Japan during his last tour there by the CEO of our distributor over there.

Hey John,

I've got a gig this Saturday. How about sending a C64S over for a little work out? Image

I'd sure like to see McC start using them more often again. He's never sounded better than with the Rick.

Alex, I remember an interview with Graham Gouldman from 10cc where he said he'd played Paul's, sorry, Sir Paul's bass and he said the action was so high it was a wonder he could play it at all.

You would think that if he has 2 of the C64 basses he would play one occasionally.

Hey Fran, I was only kidding about the Yamaha. In fact, being how affordable they they are I have thought about buying one just for the hell of it. I can't find a sunburst one though. Live by this credo, "never enough basses." You'll be broke.... but it's still a good way to live.

Brian, what is the beef you speak of between Paul and Denny? Please explain.

Richard, just bustin' here too! Actually, they are great basses. Mine sounds and plays amazing. $450 from Guitar Center. They are getting scarce though.

Oh c'mon Fran! I posted that Yamaha picture for you! No props? Image

Richard, Many years ago Paul and Denny had a falling out over some tell all interviews with Denny in the Sun . Many allegations etc... from Denny. Denny says they were taken out of context and Paul seemed to chill. However, the last I'd heard Paul invited Denny to a show in Mass. in 1990 and after going back stage Denny wasn't able to hook up. That is the last story I heard of the two. Now having said that, Denny was on the "Band on the Run 25th Anniversary" album. I don't know how old his interviews were, but nevertheless, he was there.

Holy **** Brian! Somehow I missed that whole page of the thread. Thanks much!. That is a cool pic. I just love my 1200 to death. Regarding Denny, didn't his wife JoJo (?) have alot to do with the bad feelings? She supposedly was quite the mouth regarding the Macs.
