Paul, it's all good.
I always called it(our event you came to) a 'Fest' from the get-go when Don Cooksey made a suggestion about having one here in the east. Others who had attended previous gatherings that had used the word 'confluence' just did so naturally because it had been established earlier. Like I said, MARF or MARC, it's all cool.

The reason some called it MARC was because Marc Seligman stared calling it that to match his name, IIRC.

36 hours to go until I leave Melbourne for LA.
Let's see now, have I packed appropriate attire to ensure I'll be OK in the fashion stakes? Check!
Do I have the right accessories to mingle with the "in" crowd? Check!
And finally, how about a really tasteless Billy Idol-style haircut? Check! I'm ready to rock 'n' roll!

Well, my guitars and luggage have been checked in and I'm sitting in the airline flight lounge ready for the 14 hour trip across the Pacific Ocean.
My flight has been delayed 'cause they "have a problem with the relay". The airline is "tracking down a spare relay from another plane". It's nice to know that they can cannibalise bits from each plane to build one which actually flys!
Assuming I don't have to get out and push, I'll see you all at the Rickfest.
