"the food craps all over *******"
True, Howard, but the Darcy's Pint calendar leaves a bit to be desired. It all kind of balances out in a cosmic sort of way.

Hmmmm.... food at Darcy's Pint followed by drinks at *******. Pity they aren't next door to each other....... expensive outing if you're cabbing it!

How are you coping being back at work Howard? Good thing it's Friday, are you going to have a POETS day? I think the boss owes you that much, putting you through that trauma, after 9 weeks of fun meeting all those nice folk in the US. .... memories memories

What trauma, Aitch? Do we all need to talk to him?!

No trauma here at all, Ron.... it's been a relatively quiet week just easing back into the work scene. However, John, I am suffering a little from 'post-touritis' - I'm missing all the great people I met!
And the Cards are playing the Mets..... I'm on the edge of my seat!

Outstanding, Howard. I cannot think of a post I have enjoyed so much. You definitely turned it up to 11.

Thanks, Peter. It was an incredible journey and I'm so grateful to everybody who contributed in any way toward making it so memorable and enjoyable.
I look forward ever so much to reciprocating.
It goes without saying that without you and your love of all things Rickenbacker, it would never have happened.... thank you!!

Sorry about the over exaggeration of Howard going back to work after 9 weeks of bliss. It's just that he's now had a little taste of what retirement's like and I thought it would have been a real wake up call for him this week.
It seems he has an understanding boss though and has just eased him in slowly this week - maybe next week it'll hit the fan! LOL

It's been very difficult coming down, Ron.
I'd love to, Bob. Seems I might have been a lucky charm just watching it (at work) on the internet!

I heartily rooted for StL, only as a NY-hater. They are limping into the WS however, Rolen & Edmonds both look like old men.

As a Cards fan Steve - they limped into the postseason as well. Lol. They got their runs from unexpected sources - such as Suppan hitting a homer and Yadi's game winner in game 7.

I kinda made the cut. That's my elbow on shot #10 and feet in #11, playing bass with Dal Fortune, Darren Trott, and ?. What a great time we had. I'm so glad H had a fantastic holiday!
