I would be very interested to know the actual RIC production numbers of recent vintage.
I agree that I doubt 75 Desert Gold or Sea Foams were made in any model... Maybe the 4003, but certainly not for the 660.
I'm pretty sure that more than 75 Monte Browns were made in all four models (330, 360, 660, and 4003). Probably not for the Blueboys though.
So if the supply of 75th anniversaries is greater than those other colors, with demand being the same, then the laws of the market would indicate that the 75ths would be worth less. The only thing that would create a greater price would be increased demand. As the specific market for a 75th Anni would be minutely small, this very forum would most likely have a great impact on the actual demand.
If say 30 of you all post about how you absolutely LOVE your model, you will probably increase the value of such a small production item. However, if you a significant number of you complain about something about the model, you will see the value remain around MSRP.
Hope all that makes sense.

IMHO, if they made 1000's of Chris Squire and they tripled in price, this means to me that if they do 300 models 75th anniversary guitars and basses, they should also increase in value substantially !

Yes, it makes sense Brad. The problem lies in estimating the demand.
If the demand were equal for the 4001CS and the 75th Anni 4003, then the 75th would have a much higher market price as there is a much greater supply of 4001CS models. Econ 101!
But demand will not be equal as there are a million factors influencing peoples preferences. Is a signature model more desirable than an anniversary model? Is a COY more desirable than a signature model? That's up to you and thousands of other potential buyers to decide.
Hence...we will have to wait and see!

We've done a coupla gigs with Mr. Mumy. Used to be a blues band, now kinda roots rock. He played guitar each time.
