Was that your New Years resolution, Nate?

Well that and a few more. One is I'm going to try not to talk to my dad again any time soon. It's a long and sad story, and I don't want to get into it. The only things I can say are "drugs are bad!" and "You can't trust the ones you love".
Whatever, my new years was good.

Sounds like you have a great start on '07 Nate! Happy New Year!!!
You may not realize it yet, but you've learned some are more trustworthy than others...

"Drugs are bad" - agreed. Unfortunately, in most cases we learn it from our own experience... "You can't trust the ones you love"... well, i hate to sound like an "old f#rt", but i wouldn't put it that way. I had a very unpleasant experience with both when i was about your age... and my hair was quite long then:
(and even a bit longer - never had it that long since 18 or so)
I then said to myself i would never trust
anyone at all anymore, but that has changed in a few years. Good or bad, but experience is experience, and it's all about living and learning.
Ehm. Sorry for such a long message. I'm way too talkative sometimes.
Have a great new year, Nate.

Smart part is learning from experience.
For example, I've learned not to make any cute remarks about women and talking, so I shall not.
Love that look Sheena. A little 60's flower power hippie thing it would appear.

Good advice, Bryan. That's what i was talking about. But what should that unrelated link mean?.. (no offence meant, just a question)
Gary: Hippie?! Naaah. Sometimes hair is just hair, and knick-knacks are just knick-knacks.
Anyway, the year started out fine, with snow and fun and so on, and now it's melting...

I've found that you gain valuable experience shortly after you really needed it.

Why wouldn't I like that idea?!

Uh, de nada.

Actually, there are 2 things among the other ones i'm especially lousy at: thinking/rationalizing and making compliments.
Anyway, the new year feels fine. Albeit i still cannot feel what has changed.
