"Given that Darren, Greg and Ron are all seasoned performers, my nervous state was somewhat enhanced."(HB)
Seasoned performers???? Pickled, i'd say!
Hey Frank, no doubt about it ,..you are a fully certified Rickaholic now! Great to see you and your dad there last night!
1 question for you... What model Rick are you buying next?

Congrats on the 400th, Ron! I appreciate you posting it in this thread.
All the bands did very well and chose their songs carefully. The varying abilities of the people in each band meant that it had to be kept relatively simple and the arrangements suitable for all.
Kudos has to be given to our coach, Bob Spencer. A fabulous bloke who was incredibly patient and always willing to pass on tricks and tips to those who were struggling a bit. Whilst he didn't teach us the songs (we had to learn them ourselves) he assisted greatly with arrangements and things like intros and endings.
Shane: No new career but a definite interest in keeping it going in some form...... I'm hooked!!

I agree that the bands chose their songs wisely, they all seemed to suit each bands strengths.
The most enjoyable thing about the night was the wide range of music styles chosen, it was nice having a shuffle of great tracks.
Greg: In a Rickenbacker Fantasy land.. a Rickenbacker 4004! But realistically, i'm more intent on saving up for a nice Orange amp

I completely missed this thread.
Good on you Aitch. I wish I could have been there for that one. Mind you some of your mates are a bit rowdy aren't they?
I am really looking forward to catching up with you all in December. I just can't wait to jam with you the rest of the blokes from down under.

Glad to see you had so much fun, that your Rick was the stand-out guitar of the event. Looks like the evening was a big success and it's cool that so many Forumites were there to cheer you on !
Life is good.....

Aitch, when Ed Sullivan would say "Really big show" it sounded like "Really big shoe".
