I thought the same thing the first time I saw a 330!!!

and a Les Paul accually... but that came from monthes of people saying how big and bulky they are...

OMG what a gorgeous RIC! I'm looking at my 2006 360/12FG and thinking, gee... I wonder what I could get for that... if I ordered a 360/12C63 now... then two years from now.... damn!

And dang, he's right! I'm still going out to NCM every day, checking the received guitars then going to the RIC site, checking the shipments.

A belated congratulations! I'm glad you finally got the beauty - also good call to wait for Gary as I'm sure the guitar was perfect when it arrived.

Regarding the size of the guitar - maybe it had something to do with how high George held his guitars on his body. It seemed to cover his entire chest and trunk area (at least the Gretsch CG, Tennessean, and the Rick 360/12 did). In any event, the 360/12c63 is an altogether gorgeous guitar - the double binding and FireGlo combination is stunning!

The other thing I've noticed about both Lennon and Harrison was how their right arms are almost a perfect "L" shape. Their "picking" arms seem to come up directly from the bottom strap pin over the tailpiece and bridge, whereas for 40 years my arm has always come down over at an angle, kinda like that little hippie guitarist in my post above.

Of course, that could also explain why Lennon and Harrison were rock & roll gods and I do back office work for a computer company.

I always wore mine a little lower, about belly level. And of course, nowaways, I wear my guitars sitting on my belly.

What I can't understand is how people can play them down around their knees these days. However, in my day, we were embarassed if either our a) underwear, or b) "butt cheek separation lines" were visible. (Hows that for cleaning up the language?)

I have wanted a 360/12C63 for some time now but all the talk about a 2 year wait discouraged me from placing an order. Last weekend I went to the Dallas guitar show and there it was. I couldn't resist and immediately bought it from Fuller's Vintage Guitar out of Houston. I also have a 360/12 Mapleglo and a 660/12 Fireglo but so far I like this one the best.

That's a bit of a strange mook (magazine book), because the publisher is famous for doing those relating to bicycles. This was their first (and I believe last) attempt for guitars; Jimmy Ohnishi did quite a bit of hand-holding to help them out on this.
