I think JH addressed the speculation on the abbreviation of the 'C' once before. If there was an answer, I don't believe he gave it. At least I don't recall it.

"C" comes after "B".

And so it did.

I don't know why you're omitting HG. It was a legitimate, official color and abbreviation used here for many years while these units were produced for the German market.

"C" has a definite meaning that has never been announced.

This is the time to announce it, John!

Sorry, I took the urine-yellow as a joke. Should we include FUBAR too?

I am really curious about HG. How long were they made for? Dying to see a picture of one!

A urine yellow finish, huh? Like to see one of those myself.

I always assumed the "C" series stood for classic.

So does anyone have any pics & info on these mysterious 'B' models?
I had never heard of them before yesterday.

Remember, I'm in a small town in Atlantic Canada, & the only RIC advertising I've ever seen were magazine promos for the 'V' series (beautifully done, BTW) back in the early 1980's (I think).

Follow this link to Bjorn's site. It shows the B series.

I always considered C to mean "circa" as in circa 1963, etc.
