Paul, I'm going to stick with the inlays that Ric put in there in 1973 as they are correct for that month. I already have a jetglo with sparklies and I feel that the CB/small inlay combo is rare(there's that word again) and worth preserving. Until I started reading this forum I didn't even know they existed. That bass does need new frets though, but that's a wear item, kind of like tires on a sports car, right?
