The "Custom Shop" HAS done a Dick Dale Strat.

I own a perfect copy of a Custom Shop DD Strat, with a much nicer finish, built by a DD fan who also owns a body shop. One-third the price of the CS DD Strat, too.

I'm workin' on it. High strings at the top...much easier to get those harmonics going, from what I can see.

Well, I did say "redo another batch of"... Image

After seeing the "lovely" Shelby CS Strat, I looked through a guitar book to see what had been issued by the FCS, then listed them as possibilities for a better, alternative use of FCS craftsmanship and wood, the sole exception being the Hank Marvin Strat, which is gorgeous all by itself, at least the original BE maple necked model with Fiesta red finish and gold hardware that there's a photo of in the book I looked at.
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

"Uh, I like the double bounds. . . ."

We must have been separated at birth.

Yet Hank Marvin is not the legend here that he is in the UK, sadly!

It'd be interesting to see sales figures for this model, USA vs. UK!
