Jeff, I remember it now. I'll bet it looks phenomenal with chrome and white guard.

David, with the Hipshot and shoes on, it looks so classy, clean, and modern. Thats the way I'd leave it. Thanks for the extra pics.

Peter - ahh, another MG nut! They sure look good all together in the family portrait. Hoarding lefty 4005s, are we?!

4005's...might be singular... It'd have to be the only one surely?

Hoarding lefty 4005's - I have all the lefty 4005mg's ever made (all one of them!).

Can you believe that I forgot about my 1971 mg 21 fretter when I took this picture?

I believe that there is a fireglo one somewhere (possibly in Japan).

Shame on you, Pete!

If I had one, I would probably sleep with it at night! I'm sure the wife would love that!

Wow, Pete! I love that '71!

David,

Tell me about your Hofner. It looks like the first bass I ever had. I think it was a '70.

Nice! My Hofner had the same pu's, which sounded great!
I packed mine full of insulation which kept it from getting too woofy sounding at higher volumes.

Thanks John. Will you love me less if I bring the tailpiece back from time to time? :(
Naw, its just I remember the "fun" you had at first over lift, and I was trying to encourage you!

Care to give details? You mean you stuffed it inside with some material? What kind? And what exactly did it do?
Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Yes, I actually took the pu's and control plate off and stuffed the inside full of insulation. I can't remember what kind it was. I think just standard pink housing insulation.
This is going back 30 years ago.
