I prefer the single coil sound for the bridge position, but I have a Gibson 490R in the neck position. These are not very powerful pickups & give me a great woody sound in the neck....unbelievable that the sound comes from a humbucker. If you lisen to track 2 'This Is The End' at http://www.myspace.com/thegreatbritishbluesband , all of the lead & the right hand rythm is this pickup.

I happen to prefer the humbucker tone for blues.
I've used my HB equipped 360 at the last three blues jams that I've attended.

BTW, the story behind the "Dixie Cup" hats is the our friend (with the battleship gray strat) had just returned from an extended tour of the Perisan Gulf, courtsey of the US Navy.
