There's a director here in NYC who's a seriously talented guy (he does commercial work for top shelf/fortune 500 clients all over the world.) And, as we're stoked to have discovered, he wants to complete a video for one of our songs that features anyone who wants to take a shot at the actor's toughest challenge; to cry and look like you feel it. His idea, since everyone "wants to direct," is they can direct themselves during their own shoot, so to speak. So, here's the idea in a nutshell; get a video camera or even just a web cam, and shoot a video of yourself crying (the song this will be for is called "Tearjerker") with the lights in your place turned down, and lit only by the light from your computer screen, or the lamp next to your computer (to induce tears maybe Rick people can imagine their favorite 360 or 4001 getting swiped, or stepped on, or as someone else who's heard this idea has suggested, just about anyone can get the same results by checking the performance of their retirement fund this year.) When you’re done, if you like what you have, simply upload the footage at the highest quality you can to www. yousendit. com, and mail the link to [email protected] You can hear the song at myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=288905994 As for the acting part, we have been told, instructions are to just cry (yeah, easy right?) or sing along to the song and cry. Doing the above will automatically assume that you are the legal owner of the material and that you agree to participate in the video. Lastly, if you think you know any would be actors who'd like to take a shot at this, please pass them an email with the above info. Thanks much -the JANGLEmen!

John Biscuti made #40 on Power Pop Action (Spain) best of annual power pop releases:

Glenn's being modest; this is his baby!

Odd that Sky Blue Sky is on there, I don't think its powerpop at all.

The lines that separate power pop from all else are sometimes in the eye of the beholder. I've thought the same about other acts/releases being considered the genre.
