.....me not touching it is probably the best thing you could do to preserve it's classiness!

Wow- you have to be absolutely ecstatic over how this bass has turned out. If it had a LK-MC jackplate it would be pretty hard to say this wasn't the real deal. Of course it probably has Dale's sig in the control cavity, but a lot of ricks have employee names in them also. Looks like it just came out of a time machine.

Gotta echo what everyone else says. Simply gorgeous, Steve. I suppose Darren's bass inspired this one? Also, I can't tell from the pictures, did Dale spray it with any amber CV, or just clear?
Edit: Nevermind, definitely not amber on her.
Mark, in the control cavity of my v68 it says "Dale Fortune 2006".

Yes Darren's 72 AZ did have a big influence on my color choice. Ever since seeing his in SoCal I just had to have one.
He just sprayed clear CV because of the "green effect" that may happen. I love it just the same though!

Thanks for the info Johnny B, I hope to have a 4001 delivered this year in trans-burgundy that says "Dale Fortune 2008" in the cavity.
