I am going to talk to the Rock Hall and Sam Ash about possible sponsership of this. Since SA is a RIC dealer I hope to get them to provide some amps, drums and a PA for the confluence on Saturday. I am checking into some hotels on Orange Place in Woodmere Village as to conference rooms and room rates. I hope to know in a week or two about that stuff.
I sure hope we get a great turnout for this as Cleveland is central to a whole lot of forumites.

Depending on my work schedule I may attend. I have been in contact with Kevin Kuney also.

I would be a maybe depending on the date. I have a wedding in Bakersfield CA on the 14 of June. I would be up for a 7-hour drive each way the next weekend. It would be my first Confluence. What to bring..... 4004LK? 481? 700C(PW)? 480? maybe all 12 that I currently have...... hmmmm..

Great to hear this! So far it looks like the 21st-22nd may be the best weekend for this. We will see.

That's a cool idea! Having been born in Dayton, it'll be fun to see Ohio get some Rickenbacker fun.
I won't be able to make it though

I'll be with my mom in Italy at that time. But I know there'll be tons of posts and pictures to see how it was!

Sorry to hear you can't come back
home, so to speak! Have a great time in Italy; while there please visit the Ferrari factory for me!

Bob, it's always best to bring as many as you can!

I concur that as many as possible is always the best option. At MARFII there were around 135 instruments!

Can we better this at RIO!!!

I am glad you asked that, Scott! I know that most of us have a favorite non-Rick instrument (or two or three...), so I do want to have an area where those instruments can be displayed.
I am certainly planning on bringing one. To that effect I will start a new thread to see what non-Ricks we may possiby see at RIO!!!. Bring 'em on.

BTW, I want these non-Ricks to be only Made In America instruments, just like Rickenbacker!
Something that your Carvin certainly qualifies as.

am I allowed in without bringing any bass? I won't disturb too much, I do not smoke, I do not drink, etc, LOL
