Hmm, I just couldn't do it with text...
I don't need no steenkin' "Really loud PA system"...

Nice diagram, CJ.
I haven't commented before now because I'm just a hobbyist musician. My typical set-up is guitar into amp ... no effects, except for channel switching on the Kustom '36 Coupe amp I am currently using, plus the reverb at a reasonable setting to give the sound a little depth. I plly mainly clean songs, so I really don't need anything more.

Cool, CJ!
Gary, no Janglebox? I want to know what happens when you plug a 370/12RM into a JB. Certainly the fabric of space-time would be affected somehow.

Probably like plugging it directly into the TARDIS ...
I do have a Janglebox but it really doesn't 'do it' for me ... maybe I just haven't experimented enough with it yet. I can try recording the 370/12RM FG with the JB in line ... I think you're right, the compression might be enough to collapse the sound into a singularity!

I have, after several years of playing with tones, finally found a "jangle" sound I really really like. It requires a Boss NS2 and a MIJ Boss Limiter, but it does the whole chimey thing with no harsh peaks. I'll try to remember to post a pic of my settings.

Here it is. This seems to be magic. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the amp's BRIGHT channel should be off. And, FYI, I use the send/return on the noise suppressor, not just in-line.

Quad Box arrived. The "proposed setup" from my diagram is now a reality. The Neotech strap arrived too. Made the 4080 seem about half its weight.

Picture of my new "pedal board" (can't really call it a pedal board, as there are only three pedals)
New signal path, too:
Guitar > MXR Dyna Comp > Fuzz Face > Boss Chromatic Tuner > Fender Deluxe Reverb

Looks like a happy Robot wearing headphones there Jake

I'm sure it sounds great! Board?
Jason, do you really have the distortion on that JC set on around 8, or is it footswitched off?
