There's a great Southern home cooking style restaurant you should try in Columbia. Right Jwilli!

Wish I could be there.

That should be a very pleasant drive as you'll be going through some very scenic countryside.

Wave hi to my brother as you cross into SC from NC. He lives right off I-26, a couple of miles south of the NC/SC state line.

You won't need any stinking sleep.

I just checked out the tavern/inn website today. That is amazing!!!! John, if you think it's cool, post the link to it. I was really impressed.
I'm finalizing everything, just about ready to go. Said my good byes at work for the next 2 weeks and will run errands tomorrow, and leave early Sunday morning to meet Mark Gilbert and then John Williams. No Christmas Eve night as a kid ever found me this excited, really. It's going to be crazy and awesome.

For anyone that wants to see J Dog's dig's for when he stays in my neck of the woods, just click on the little globe under my avatar. This inn and tavern belongs to our own David McLaughlin, aka Combo 850.

I told J Dog I would report on his Jax departure and here it is. I got to experience his 4002 and fretless 4003, which was very cool. He got to see many 1973 4001's and the new mancave, which has only been open for a couple of weeks now. He played a March 73 4001 and the black Laredo fiver that I had hanging on the wall. You really don't have an appreciation of how your basses sound until someone else picks them up and you can hear them, like an out of body experience. And I got to say, damn my basses sound good. One of the highlights did not involve a bass but was bass related. I ran some test tones (16hz - 40hz) that I had recorded through my new Epik Conquest subwoofer (1000 watts) and it was unbelievable how powerful it was in the mancave (40' x 12' x 10'). It was cool having J Dog pass through here on his way up north.
