Here we are, the end of September. I don't think it's gonna happen in November. I have a funny feeling I'm likely not going to get The Call until well into the New Year. My ol' Kustom is gettin' awful lonesome, too.

Think positive thoughts, Jim! The glass is still 1/4 full. There's baseball playoffs, the NFL, and (hopefully) a large, heavy bag to pummel after checking the shipping schedule for the thousandth time...! We understand your pain.

I've loved Rickenbackers since my inception as a kid with Creedence and the Beatles. Once I heard Mr. Buck and a quiet Murmur, I fell madly, madly. I waited until 2 years ago to start looking at buying my first 330, and have since snagged 3 used 330's in two months. After reading how long Rick patrons have to wait for their guitars or basses is absolutely amazing, and to be honest, unacceptable...1-3 years? Are these numbers a joke? I must be standing on the outside. Again, to critique Rickenbacker in this forum may be unappreciated, and if so, I may stand alone.

Addendum: I absolutely love the used Ricks I own, and love with the company that produces them. However, time is money, but will your money go somewhere else? I would assume, probably not.
Moral: Time is a friend or time is a foe. Watch for time the aggressor, it slithers like a snake.

I can't remember, does anyone remember if Ben said (and I paraphrase) "in the fall" or "around Thanksgiving" for those remaining 4004Cii's?

The few brain cells I have left are fading.

I think he said there would be few if any remaining by Thanksgiving for the Laredos. Eric B said he believed there was a huge run scheduled in the fall in the 4004Ciis are shipping thread from a few months ago. We'll just have to wait and see.

Just got back in town this evening from an out of town gig. You bet the first thing I did was go over to corporate and look at the recent shipments! First words out of my mouth were "Oh my gawd!" I may have to eat my words about my guitar arriving early in '09. Boy, wouldn't that be a nice slice of humble pie? Won't mind that a bit!
Yowza!

Indianation66, let me clue you in on my story a bit here. See, it wouldn't have made any difference in the long run whether I bought a used or a new Rick. It would have taken me a couple of years to save up the bread under any circumstances you care to name. I reasoned that because it would take me X amount of time to raise the funds, I may as well use the backlog to my advantage, and purchase a new guitar.

Second, I really am a little squeamish about purchasing something used sight unseen from an unknown seller. Ordering from a duly authorized Rickenbacker dealer gave me a feeling of greater security that if something completely unforseen and unfortunate should happen, I'd have some recourse.

Third, I got plain lucky and got my order in before the most recent price increase. So I get a guitar with what may be an '08 serial number at an '07 price.

Make sense now?

Thanks Ryan....I check the shipped page most every day.....I just couldn't remember.

Hopefully in time for Christmas this year!

IF you hear anything, let me know! I'm second to LAST on our dealers list...so you will get yours first.

I order my 360/6 in JetGlo in September and the dealer was told by Rickenbacker that I would be waiting 12-18 months. Hopefully, that's correct or so! 8)

That would be about par for the course, Lynda. It's an exercise in patience, for sure. As of now it has been 17 months for me.

Not nearly as long as the almost 4 1/2 years for Brian Crisman to get his 4004LK. But then, there was a reason for the delay.

Jim,

That's good to know. By the way, I waited 20 years to see my favorite band, REM, play live... so, 12-18 months is gonna be nothing.
