Patience, Grasshoppah! (Isn't that response annoying? I hate it when people tell me that.) Be that as it may, I'm just starting the selection process now that I've received the last of the submissions. Peter and I were discussing the topic of when we should release the playlist, and we're both leaning towards keeping that under wraps until the official CD release. Adds to the excitement, don't you think?

That has yet to be determined, Mark. We'll post all those details once the CD is ready for release. That target date is Dec 1st, but I'm sure we'll be taking orders as soon as the master is sent in for duplication, which I plan to do in the next week or two.

Let me state now my thanks to all who sent their songs in. This is really going to be a great CD - top notch offerings all around!

I received a couple of good front cover ideas, and I've got something for the inner-fold, but am still lacking something for the back/tray card. If you've got something to offer, go ahead an send it my way. The album is going to Discmakers in about a week, so there's still some time.

Me? Oh - I actually came to post on the progress of this CD I've been working on for the Rickenbacker Resource Forum. Perhaps you've heard of it.

So - yes. The mastering process is done, and the master disc will go out to DiscMakers tomorrow. I'll be at MARF III this weekend, so I'll not have time to finish up the layout, but that will happen early next weekand I'll submit that through the DIY kiosk at DM so that music & cover art will get to them at about the same time. I'll confirm all the liner note info I have with everyone who has tunes on the CD just to make sure I've got all my T's dotted and eyes crossed. Everyone except you, Kira. Your tunes were cut.

OH! I am such a b*stard! Of course I jest. Your tunes were awesome, and I had a hard time picking which one to use. (nudgey nudgey wink wink)

It's really a great collection of diverse music, which is exactly what I was hoping for. When arranging the CD, I did my best to spread out all the different musical styles so that sames aren't all lumped together, yet maintain a good flow so it's an enjoyable ride.

The CD should be ready & in my hot little hands on approx Dec 1st. I'll give specific updates as shipment dates are confirmed. We should be ready to take orders for the album once Peter & I talk price and draw up a formal (or not) platform.
