Wes, you seemed to love that bass when you got it. People congratulated you. I'm sure that people here on the forum, musicians that you play with and people that you performed for, admired your C64 and were not thinking, "Geez, that's not exactly like a RM1999!"
I'm sure it plays and sounds excellent. Like I said before, there are many people that could only wish to own one of those basses.

There might be valid reasons concerning the engineering, design and manufacturing processes of making these basses as to why they are as perfect to the original specs that Wes expects them to be. That is not information that I would expect JH to freely give if he has reasons not to do so.

I think we've said enough here. Just the title of this thread alone gives me agita.
I would however unlock the thread if John Hall would like to say something here. But given the nature of this thread, I wouldn't understand why, if he would choose not to say anything.

Now where's my padlock?...
