It was great to see everyone again. Thanks to Paul for putting it all together!
Dane's 8 string is always a joy to play.

3rd set:
I'll post more later.
I did the resizing of these pics using the Pix Resizer program which is simple and quick to use, but I don't like the way the pics look when it's done.

They say the camera adds five pounds. How many cameras did you have on me anyway

Looks like a really great time. Paul A - you look good in red!
Dane, looking over the pics of everyone, looks like the camera adds years too!

We've all aged a bit since the 75th.

Well, including NAMM last weekend, it was the highlight of the month for me. The time went way too fast and I think for future SoCalRICons, that this kind of event should become a fixture. Everyone got to play...there was no competition between any of us, and there was a plethora of RICs to play. I particularly liked Joey's 4003TQ. Besides it being one of my faveorite RIC finishes, it was set up perfectly. Combined with Joey's pedalboard, it sounded great, even through the Ampeg SVT350 non-tube amp we played through. The sound of THREE Ricky 12-strings playing at once was awesome. No matter what anyone wanted to play, everyone was open to at least trying it, including the second side of Abby Road...for about 16 bars....sorry Kenny! Thanks to everyone for putting up with my drumming. All my favorite drummers have been loud and it shows, although I did discover that if you turn the sticks around, it's a bit softer! I particularly liked playing "The Breakup Song" when Rich suggested and sang it. Paul A's revised 340 was really nice to see up close. Thanks to Deb for singing on the Pretenders songs. What a blast playing bass on Precious and Brass In Pocket while doing backups with Paul A. As we were playing I kept seeing people looking through the window checking us out. I figured we were either pretty good or just plain loud. Thanks also to Scott J's son(who's name escapes me for the moment) for running lights for us while we were playing for the first couple hours. After he left, it just wasn't the same. Ya, it was one of the better jam sessions I've ever attended. Thanks again Paul for putting this together.

Excellent suggestion .... have we another RRF visitor coming soon so we can plan a Mini-Con Jam around their arrival ?

Hey, I think I counted about five Ricky 12-strings doing that Intro chord to Hard Days Night. It was a jangle-holics dream.... there was Graham, Paul, Gary, Kenny and me

Dana, you did excellant kick-@$$ drumming on Break Up Song ... considering we never had tried that before at a confluence, you hit all those drums fills right on cue (They don't write 'em like that anymore) and your drumming really carried the song !! Thanks to Paul for helping carry those vocals....
