My favorite of my pair (360/12AFG and 620/12JG) is my 360/12 ,not by a lot. But if I could only keep one, that would be the one. I just love everything about it- looks , playability , sound. Huge cool factor too, IMHO.

Speak for yourself, Jake. I think I'll take the factory spec. Been there, done that. Barre chords are a real (literal) pain on a standard 12 string neck. I'm with you Jim, thin is in, narrow is good, short is even better. I can use fewer fingers that way. For example, I can make an "A" chord with just my ring finger and still clear the high "E", or an Asus with just two fingers. I'm lazy Where'd you play a 370?

Mass[achusetts] Street Music here in Lawrence has had a used one for a couple of months now. They want $1900.00 for it, but I bet somebody with a checkbook could bargain with 'em over the price. Every time I walk in there, I'm surprised the thing is still there. Nobody but me seems to want Ricks in this town.

So, I now have a 360/12V64...it's hands down the best Rickenbacker 12-string...ever! (in my opinion)

Have you played vintage ones?

Kenny's 360 OS/12 string, Graham's 360F/12, and the MID Blue 381/12 I played at NAMM, with the 360/12 C63 I played at NAMM a close second; All four guitars play beautifully, and are amazingly resonant, with Graham's F model probably the most resonant at all. Graham's F model also has a really nice thin neck with a highly curved 6" radius fretboard.

Out of the ones I've played, I should've said. I never leave the house to attend a confluence to play one, and out here in Louisiana, you never find one. I've no doubt that a '65 360/12, 1993/12 or even 330/12 are the best 12-strings.

My fave is still my 60's 450-12 MG. It never goes much out of tune, intonates well and jangles like a banshee.

If there's a MARF IV this November, you all better bet your life I'm making plans.

MARF seem to occur about every 1 1/2 years, but there is a discussion going on for a Chicago area confluence, so think about going to that one!

The only model not mentioned on this thread is the 610/12. It came with a contoured body and the wider spaced nut which now comes standard on all modern 12's.

Well, i would say my 360/12V64, as it's the only Rickenbacker 12 string i've ever owned!

I always loved the sound and look of Rick 12's, but it wasn't until i saw a double bound 360, and just about fell over when i did !
They're just beautiful looking guitars that just happen to sound amazing too!

I like the 1993 and i'd love a 360/12V64 with the F hole too!!
But i suppose my real holy grail would be a mid 60's 360/12OS in FG

1964 360/12NS made one after Jim (Not yet Roger) McGuinns Maple Glow 12 (latter connverted to 370/12 and McGuinns own custom wiring, that they latter sold as Byrd Wiring, despite not doing the development work themselves!).

Narrow neck (just 2" wide at the 21st fret), thin (0.020") neck binding with wide spaced strings and the coursed strings tight together.

Fret board radius was (estimated at) 6", so your fingers were angled apart from each other to get the very most of the space available.

I could go on, but this was THE golden era after the prototypes and before the mass producyion once The Beatles exploded!

PS an 370/12RM is no comparison!!! nuff said.

The 6" radius was common in the late '50s--early '60s on Capri models.
