You could always buy your own...
Y'see, John, I should've explained that better: As long as I live with my parents, no more guitars for me if another one breaks.

Boy, that takes me back. I lived with my grandparents until age 20. I worked my butt off in college and got started collecting guitars and making a little money each time by fixing them up, and making just a tiny bit of profit each time, and also finding killer deals. I was buying Ricks on the internet starting around 1996 or so. There were a LOT less people doing so then. So by the time 1999, 2000 rolled around I had gotten up to nearly 15 or 20 instruments. I started running out of places to hide them. I started running out of stories like "it's a friend's, I'm doing a setup" and stuff like that. It's a shame, I didn't even realize it until years later but I had a successful business of sorts going, and couldn't even talk about it at home, they just wouldn't hear of it! Life's funny. Maybe I should have been nightclubbing and drinking instead???

PS I still keep that PO Box at the airport as a good luck charm and a reminder of very different times in my life.

Kenny, you'll be first to know, but don't hold your breath. We're still on the honeymoon.

Rob, I know this guitar is screaming for special treatment. I've been fantasizing for days but so far I can't think of a better theme for it than "Woodstock", or "Early Seventies Arts and Crafts Revival", which it does so well already. 8) Maybe some paisley stickers and peace signs and a macrame strap would suit it.

... Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space ...

... works for me!

Tomorrow, the 1997SPC and I head off to present what will count whether I graduate or not. I'm nervous as hell, but all my good friends and teachers tell me there's nothing to worry about.
