I've had the same set of Chromes (40-55-75-95) on my 4001V63 since February '05 and they are still going strong. :D

I should hope the D'As age well. Wanting mine on my 4003FL to mellow some. I want 'em to stay tight--unlike TIs--but mellow, to get more woody/upright sound.

The initial brightness is gone and now I get a nice creamy tone on the V63.

Paging Tony C to the white courtesy phone - - - did you have flats on this when you sold it to Scott P?
Hey Ross,

Ah, so you are the one who up with my old 74?!?!?!!
Yep, I'm the dirty dog that snapped it up...

She keeps cryin' for Uncle Tony????

I can relate - this one nearly replaces my first which I foolishly sold back in the 80's...this one's a beauty... :D So I believe a HUGE THANK-YOU would be in order for your moment of weakness! 8)
ajish4 wrote:Yep, I sure did...Those are Thomastik Jazz Flats! :) All my older RIC girls get them!

That set is about, .......9 months old, they have very little time on them when I sold it to Scott so they should last a L O N G time....I STILL have the box they came in so if you want the gauges, let me know. I liked them so much, I kept it just to make sure I order more of the same!
Thanks for the background - yes, I would like to know the gauges (thinks to self...uh-oh - what's this going to cost me... )

She still plays like buttah - when I got it out of the shipping box all I had to do was plug it in, a slight tune and ready for Beatle time!
