Since this is open the the public (if I understand correctly), will there be a general hands off policy?

The policy will be not to handle instruments without asking the owner. There will also be security at the front and rear exits.

Since an incident at the 75th anniversary confluence, my personal policy has been, "If you don't not know the owner of the these instruments, do not handle without permission!"

He's my secret weapon. He lives in my shop and I've been training him in the finer points of luthiery.
He's coming along in his studies pretty well. After about two years, I gave him his own jumbo flat-top to build:
