Well, if it's a 360/12c65 AND it's going to be sold in the USA. I like vintage guitars, but if I owned one I would be afraid to take it anywhere.

Yeah, they usually already come with at least one small ding or two, so you don't have to cry over the first one you put in it, as you would on a new guitar.

Exactly, for me it's just the opposite. I'm more afraid to take the new ones out for fear of dings.

They look like the same Sta-Tite replica tuners that are on the now-discontinuted 325 C58

It's another type of vintage style tuner. I like those as well-slightly more elegant in shape than the Klusons, though the simple Kluson is one of my favorites.

I wonder if the 1999 has magnetic shoes....

Plus, the reason would have nothing to do with a vintage guitar being more "valuable" compared to a $5000 Japanese market Reissue Ric........either way it'd be a helluvan expensive guitar to gig with no matter what you're taking out. Might as well have the "real deal," as is always the argument.
