"Extra guitars"?!

There are no "extra guitars"; each is a vital componenet of my guitar arsenal!!!

Glad you were able to get your JB sorted Steve. I just have a simple Ibanez Soundtank compressor, which seems to work for me nicely. I think they all hiss a bit; it's all a matter of dialing them in to minimize the noise. :D

Steve --- what is the final chapter in the story of fine-tuning that over-zealous Janglebox of yours when its plugged into the natural compression/chime output of your Vox AC15 ??

Have you gotten good advice from the Janglebox people ? :)

Regards

Hi Rich,

I am not using the JB with the Heritage amp. I run it through my Deluxe Reverb with a Tone Tubby speaker and it works well with that amp.

Interesting thing is I was playing last week through the JB and I heard a little "pop" type nosie and the JB became much more manageable. Seems I can dial it up a bit and not get blown out of the room. Whatever gremlin was in there must have left.

I am shooting to make it for the Jan '10 confluence and I think I'll bring both rigs if I come. I am waiting for a Morpheus drop-tune pedal to arrive and see how that works in the circuit.

So you want to sell your 660/12 :) ?

Well, I have now had a chance to compare the JangleBox versus the Diamond Compressor.

The JangleBox has more of a treble boost built into it than the Diamond (even in the normal versus bright setting), but the Diamond has a variable circuit for adjusting eq which seems more versatile than the 3 position switch on the JangleBox. Still it does not match the treble boost in the JB.

I think they are both excellent, depending on what you need. I think if you really want that Byrd's chime, it is easier to get on the JB.

I think the Diamond is a little quieter than the JB, and it is easier to work with the Vox amp.

My 2 cents.
