It was like 39 degrees fahrenheit where I live when I woke up this morning!
I thought it felt pretty good! Diane did not agree with me.

Yesterday was warm enough to hit the pool for a quick dip.
Then, I came in and looked at the Christmas tree.....bizarre living in FL at this time of year...I'll never get used to it.

Talk about screwy weather - Yesterday morning it was in the 60s and sunny after the rain moved through the day before. Today, we've still got the sun, but it's 37°.

Here's the view over the fence in my yard. Apparently a hose with a spray nozzle has been on all night long and is STILL going.
I've watched my neighbor come out to observe it, so it has to be intentional.
?
I report.... YOU decide.

Well, winter has arrived - I blew 9 inches of the white stuff out of the driveway and sidewalks today. Last night I had to take 7 inches out of our 7 meter CBS satt dish - now my shoulder is sore. Long story.
We went from sunny and in the 50s to single digits tonight and snow up the yin-yang, all in the matter of a few days.

Yeah, I know what that's like. I was out disking fields when the temps were in the 50's. The next morning I started when it was 12, and it was 18 below that evening...

Those of you on the West side of the state have gotten hammered with lake effects snow. My parents in Interlochen measured 19" on their deck yesterday and it was still coming down. It was a balmy 13 degrees F here in the metro Detriot area at 4 pm yesterday.

Ken, I hear ya. The bad thing about that is all the moisture pulled from LM doesn't make it back and the last two years the lake was recovering the lost moisture - it was up a good 25" from the lows of a few years ago. Your parents have my sympathy.

Freezing rain........Starting last night (and this morning), the entire town of Corvallis Oregon is covered with a thin layer of smooth ice. It's really pretty incredible... I couldn't even walk across the street to get the mail. NOBODY is going anywhere.

Well, I think winter's here. We haven't been much above 0F since I started this thread. I think we got to 5 or 6 one day, all the way to -9 today.
Tonight's forecast if for -30F, so if they're as accurate as they have been lately, we're looking at somewhere close to -40 in reality. I'll let ya all know in the morning...
