Actually, this year, I could actually see the carpet. They're checking EVERYONE'S ID this year - so no pass swapping and a smaller crowd.

BTW, the neck profile on the basses = FTW!!!!!

Call me a wimp too! Just had large bowl of oatmeal with peanut butter, cherries, dark chocolate, cinnamon and cayenne pepper for breakfast!
Man, if you can keep that down for breakfast I'll retract all suggestions that anybody is a wimp!

Thanks for pictures Scott. :D The MID blue on that 381 looks fantastic, as does the 4003 JG and the 660 JG ........

What's a FTW neck??? Is it Fat, er, Thin, er Wide?? :?

Thanks for these very nice photos, Scott. It is great to see the displays.

I thought the same - the blue 381 is dazzling.

This year, get the NAMM badge has been different than other years. Now they print it for you when you get there, but it almost like going through airport security before you get the badge. They want to make sure it's really you. Seems like they do a better job than security at the airport.

Most of the booths that I have seen are smaller than I've seen previously. I thought there were alot of people there for a Thursday.
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Yesterday afternoon was a jazz fusion bassist's dream at the Markbass booth. We got the see Michael Manring, Jeff Berlin and Alain Caron perform there; Hadrian Feraud was there but did not perform during the time we were there. Shari was asking Alain a bunch of questions about his playing technique, maybe she is going to buy me an F Bass! 8) :D  Walking around we saw Billy Sheehan, Bakiti Kumalo, and Victor Wooten; I talked briefly with Victor about his switch from Ampeg to Hartke.

I fell in love with Mike Lull's T-Bass, something Steve Cooper would love to have, I'm sure.

The food is very expensive here!
