I guess I watch mostly reruns because my favs are

The Sopranos and
The Wire

Also a fan of Entourage

Sons of Anarchy
Mad Men are def favs

as are

Pawn Stars
Dog the Bounty Hunter
The Exterminator
and I forget the name of the show where the guys pick through homes?

Seinfield and Friends as far as "oldies"

Truly don't watch much TV at all. Like movies, I just wait for the dvds to watch on my own time.

Yeah, some of these shows have been off the air for many years (or are childhood favorites). I guess it's a list of my favorite shows of all time, with some that I still watch frequently.
Good grief-Wally George? Is he still alive? We used to watch his show in high school for the incredible laugh that it was. He's quite an icon in the punk/Mod scene of that time in LA.

As far as TV goes, I'm never really home long enough, or regularly enough, to watch anything consistantly. I try to catch what I like if I have a few minutes to kill. Here's a short list, not in any particular order,
history and science channel type stuff
NCIS
PBS-mainly for British comedies and documentaries
2 1/2 men is pretty funny sometimes, but most other sitcoms-especially the new ones-are absolutely unwatchable to me.
oldies like MASH and a fair part of the Nick at Nite playlist
Music programs and docs
Horror movies( not these new "torture" horror movies) and Sci-fi
Movies and rentals of various types and genres-really just depends on the mood.
Last, but not least-
News broadcasts that aren't slanted towards the left or right are always appreciated. Unfortunately, Fox News is almost always the one on in truckstops, and all they do is their version of the news( hence "Fox News"), and change everything to appeal to their political market. Not getting in to politics here, just like my news without ANYbodys agenda affecting the presentation of facts. This, however, doesn't affect my enjoyment of political satire in the reporting of events like on "The Daily Show". I do love a good laugh. Mostly, I get NPR news in the wee hours on my radio when I'm driving.
That's about the short list of it.

My favorite new show is on tonite Caprica. I never knew it was the prequel to Battlestar Galactica until after I watched the first few episodes. It really doesn't matter though because the show is so good on it's own account.Still now that I have been exposed I stared delving into the "Galactica" universe and it is huge and diverse. I am not even that much of a science fiction fan, but I find so much of interest in story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlestar_Galactica

Nope, sadly Wally is no longer with us (died in 2004, I believe).

He was quite a fixture around the neighborhood here in his later years, though I do understand he was indeed popular with young people in the 80s too (judging by the mixture of mohawk and mullet in the audiences!).

KDOC used to play Wally nightly until he died, and then took him off the air. I wish they'd release episodes as a DVD, but there's nobody putting the money up for that. Some episodes are still online.

Loved that guy.....didn't agree with anything he ever said.....but I loved him for it.

TV? I rarely take time to watch it (other than a movie or DVD now and then), but my husband and I really do enjoy The Mentalist.... He also got me hooked on The Unit a couple of years ago, and we're both still upset that they canceled the program after four seasons, because there were so many issues that were left unresolved at the end of season 4. Marc is hopelessly addicted to 24, but I refuse to sit down and watch it because I don't want to get addicted to anything on TV; I'd rather use that time to play my guitars.

OK, next week is going to be one of the rare times when I will actually watch TV! I've got to spend the week in Boise on business and will have at least a few evenings sitting, bored, in a hotel room (unless I can find enough live music to go to).

I figure you TV-a-holics should be able to give me a few suggestions as to what's on and on which nights.

So, what's my TV viewing schedule going to look like?

Not much, CJ :D

Seems funny to me how TV used to be so much a part of people's lives, and today, not so much. Wonder how many years we are away from PC's, laptops and forums being passe? Twitter anyone?
I suppose our grandchildren will tell us.

He was funny, such a spazz about everything. He always used to throw his guests off like he was gonna beat them up or something
I remember those endless comments about his daughters acting career being equated with prostitution, now there were some dummies
Punk rock was the end of the world to this guy, and his live audience were the biggest bunch of knuckleheads before Jerry Springer took the reigns.
RIP Wally, you were quite an entertainer.
