Its only a matter of adjustment within 10 mins your brain will adjust to the Scottish twang.I spoke to Tony today for a hr on skype and we had a good laugh.Dont worry Jason we will be just fine.Tony must have been laughing as i was panicking as i was halfway through a TR adjustment on the V64(It was on a table) and Emma was in the room with guitar with her friend.I had to cut Tony in mid sentence for fear of a terrible Jake k incident.Nightmare sweats were on the menu!

Im always most surprised at Americans slant on Brit/Scots Accents surely you guys have to deal with Accents from New York, Boston, and the South. Communication isnt difficult is listening that hard!
BTW Kira get a 3 ply scratch plate on that 330 swap out the black R for a chrome one and put chrome higains in and it will look the dogs doo dahs!
ive a spare pair of the new higains if your interested?

I'm actually surprised at it too. I've never had any issues understanding most native "English" speaking accents. Some of the really heavy ones, whether they be from the UK or North America take a bit more attention at first if they are speaking fast.

Maybe it's just me though. My brother and I went to Australia many years ago and for the first week, he couldn't understand a thing. I actually had to translate for him...

LOL!

I hat NO PROBLEM with Scotty's accent!

Perhaps growing up in NY, where you hear almost EVERY KIND of accent helped?

The one accent I DO have a LOT of trouble is, and I'm not sure about this, but the SOUTHERN park of the UK?
I have a few buddies from an online DOD game we play, that if my life depended on it....I couldn't tell you what they are saying half the time! Sounds like mumbles & grunts!!!!! :?

Thanks for the offer, Scott, but I like the old hi-gains. If you had some SW toasters I might be tempted. 3-ply pickguard might look cool, though ... 8)

Nothing you wouldn't hear in The Godfather, for example.

Or am I thinking the dude in Stuart?
