I was looking through some old threads and found this (about three years ago).

One of our members purchased a 1963 4001. There are some nice pics to look at if you are interested. :D

To the purchaser of this fine vintage instrument (8mileshigh)... Do you still have it, and if so, how is it performing. :?: :D :?:

According to the Ric website, many of these fine quality instruments have been recently shipped.

The market's flooded, quick, grab one while you can!

Here's another gem-of-a-thread that has some info and discussion on the 4001C64, as well as all the other Rickenbacker basses that have been produced (it's a compilation thread; nice!). The C64 is third from the bottom.

I thought it would be nice to include it here for anyone interested in reading about the C64 (and all the other basses, too).

Yep, lots of hidden gems to be uncovered here in the RRF. :D

QUESTION

Is there a thread here on RRF that discusses in some detail, and with accuracy, the history of Paul's 4001S bass? There's one on the Rickenbacker forum, but I can't include it here. I'd like to have a link, if it exists, so that people can learn about the various changes regarding Paul's bass.

Thanks!! :D

Okay, due to the last several posts that I've had to delete, I think we've had enough here!
