I live in the UK and it works fine for me.
The 'adaptor' is only a couple of inches long and is basically just a link between your power supply and the JB, where it changes the polarity. It isn't a power supply, you still need your own Boss 9volt supply (or something similar) to plug into your mains.

And with regards to the second point.....

JB2 works fine with a standard boss 9volt adaptor.

Ah, I meant the "transformer" not an "adaptor" - an adaptor for every world plug style I have, but the transformer will be fried if plugged into 220 V!

they are great, you can use them with all boss etc. pedals
Cioks offers special reverse pole adapter cables as needed for the JB1, they are red, so no chance to cause a short circuit.

Couldn't resist and finally ordered one (a JB2). Adapters should be available for around 15-20 euro. I do have to figure out which of these have the correct polarity though.

Kees, the polarity doesn't matter, the Boss 9V transformer or the one Alex posted above will do.

You don't need a polarity changer with a JB2, only with the original version.

Count me in. Been using my JB2 for about six months now with my Stratocaster XII and the 330/12 Rick that replaced it as well as finding out how silky sounding it can make a Tele. Looking forward to putting my lap steel through it when I have the time.

Great piece of equipment.

I've tried my Janglebox with Telecasters with very nice results. Keep me posted on how yours sounds with a lap steel!

I've also tried a Janglebox with my '63 MIM Tele. Gets a great Esquire-type sound when used on "Normal" or "Bright". Also kicks a$$ with a Strat!
