After listening to this a bunch of times now, I'm really liking what I'm hearing.

I miss Jon and Rick already after hearing this. I wish the guys would get together for one last kick at the can and break out the mellotron, mini moog and hammond and forget the 'digital' synths

I don't real feel there is anything classic YES about this, then again maybe i don't have it cranked up enough, this just sounds so thin even for a video post. Is it just me? I also miss Eddie Offord's touch ever since he engineered his last Yes Album.
Call me crazy

I have a feeling they weren't looking for classic, but move forward with modern YES.

Only 11?!?!?!?!?!? Wimp.

Try 15 or 16.

Tempted though I am (and I did hear some other snippets) but I'm waiting for the CD release. Whenever an Artist I like releases new material, I prefer to sit and listen through the entire work. I have no doubt that there will be some really nice stuff on this record, especially since the internal spirit of Yes is, for the time being, quite relaxed and stress free - They really have been working toward a common goal with this music and a lot of past unfinished business should be put right. I remember that the Buggles had written "We can fly from here" for the Yes Drama album. It didn't make it then, but like Mind Drive, Can you Imagine and others that started so long ago, "We Can Fly's" time has come.
As for the Jon / Benoit issue, although I prefer to stay away from that discussion here, it is inevitable with a new CD coming out that there will be some thoughts from the more passionate among us. I was listening to some live ABWH a few weeks back and found myself missing Jon a lot, but, if Jon can't be there, I want only Benoit in that place. He's a great guy and works very well with the other members. He must be pulling his weight or Trevor Horn would've probably drummed him right out...
Its a good day for me whenever a new Yes album is on the horizon. See you July 12th.

Currently Good Sir, with our conversion rate (as of the last few months)... our 11 is worth 20 in your decibel volumetric currency.

I agree with Jim. I tend to listed to the whole thing several times (probably the only good part of a former long commute) before I can digest the latest offering. As for the membership (sorry Jim I had to do it) – This is just one of many incarnations of the band Yes. I love Jon and do miss him; but by his own admission he would probably not survive the current touring schedule. So I’d much rather have a live Jon doing his thing and the band doing theirs than a nastier alternative. Maybe in the future there will be collaborations or even Jon rejoining. One thing I have learned from this band is that anything is possible! One thing for sure, I am really looking forward to this release. Cranking to 11+!!!

Same here.
I wanted to listen to them today, 1st thing, and they are gone.
It's not like we aren't going to get the CD when it's out because we have snippets of the songs.
I still really dig the one with Squire's lead vocals.
It's the type of sound that when I hear it, I say to myself "I wish I wrote that"!

one of the song fragments i heard sounded familiar,so i checked my reissued "adventures in modern recording' cd by the Buggles, and it appears Yes is also including another buggles tune called "riding a tide". that song, along with "fly from here" were not on the original album, but were included on the reissue cd along with numerous other tracks. it sounds like they are keeping somewhat close to the original arrangements, albeit with a clankier bass sound.
