If it is that one, I saw it at Paul's former house when Shari & I were visiting in the bay area in May of '07, that is how I remember the date.

I'm changing mine back - it is not creepy but aggravating. I though if everyone saw CJ, me, and a couple others use it, they would change too. THAT would be creepy. Didn't happen.

Paul's first one was a round-top, shown here luxuriously relaxing on the sofa in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Santa Ana.

As far as I can tell, checker binding was never used on the doublebound '5s, just on the backs of the round-tops until probably 1973 or so.

Well, it received its first color coats on Tuesday, and its first varnish coats yesterday...I made the truss rods yesterday.

It's progressing.
