Am I the only one who has not heard the word "relic" used as a verb??
Of course, I have been told, "You can verb any noun!"

There are times that we scientists use nouns as verbs in normal speech ("I'll chromatograph that new raw material this afternoon") but we aren't supposed to use terms like that in formal writing ... like that never happens!
Also, there are terms in the scientific vocabulary that require hyphenation to avoid confusion; a good example is
un-ionized (not to be confused with
unionized ... unless the molecules have collective bargaining ...

).
BTW, I sold a ca. 1974 F****r Strat a number of years ago that had plenty of battle scars ... they were one of the reasons I sold it!

In addition to dragging the guitar through gravel and tying a rope to it and swinging it around one's head in the parking lot, don't forget about putting the guitar in a sealed chamber with a pack of cigarettes that's been lit on fire.
All part of making a relicked instrument!

If smelling lie a pack of smokes is "relicking" then I guess that means my 360/6WB is currently being "de-relicked". I like this new concatenation.

Thanks be to Paul for the "de-relicking".

Maybe, in a nod to our scientist members, this should be spelled "de-re-licked"?
But, then, how do you take back a licking?

It depends on whether or not you need to keep on ticking...
