As for the conversion, the luthier in charge and the reasonings behind it, it's Brian's story to tell...

scotty wrote:is that a V641993 Brian  ...What ever it is it looks great.Using that term is kinda like Jasons conversion to the 366V64 or is it a V64366  Who knows!

it is a 360/12V64 converted to a 1993/12 by Larry Davis. :D

She is a beauty and I'm grateful to Kevin Kuney for supplying the 360/12V64, Jake Kety for giving me the idea for the conversion and of course to Larry for a magnificent and timely job. :D

My role in it all: In May of 2012 (that's when the thread I linked to is dated, folks :P ), after having purchased the 360/12V64 from Kevin Kuney, Brian came to me with his dilemma because he had a similar (and better, IMO) C63 model. He really wanted a Sam Ash 1993 from '87. I told him they were as rare as hen's teeth, and I suggested why not convert his new V64 into a 1993. Brian took me up on the idea, so he contacted Paul W, who was booked up and couldn't do it, so I told him to contact Larry Davis. Looks great, Brian. When does it get into your hands, then? 8)

It has been in my hands since Christmas. Just to clarify one point, this guitar never was intended to go to Paul W. Jake had recommended Larry for the job from the beginning so that is where it went.
