I got the chance to play a 360W yesterday. I sounded great, and had a killer neck. I was seriously considereing putting it on layway (I have credit with the guitar shop where I played it). But ya snooze, ya lose! The 360W was bought over the phone, a couple minutes before I made up my mind to buy it!

Oh man! That is downright tragic!

Was it at Wades? They were supposed to call me so that I could photograph a 4003W for a possible second edition of the book. Hmm.

No, at Cream City Music, and it was this past Saturday. I saw it on the counter, when I came in the door (somebody had called a short time ago, to enquire about it), and they let me try it out (it killed through a Mesa Boogie Rect-o-Verb), teasing me (I only live like 5 miles from the place, so I'm a bit of a regular there), that it probably would probably sell pretty quickly. The neck had a nice, satin finish. The pearl fret markers actually looked kind of cool on the maple fret board.
I'm debating driving from to Wade's after work today, due to me suffering over the past several days, from severe, 360/12 GAS. The only problem, is that it's kind of a hassle to get to Wade's during rush hour (it's over by UWM, and since I'd go directly from work, I'd have to drive north through the Marquette Interchange, and through several miles of Milwaukee city street traffic). I've only briefly played a 360/12, and they sound like a love/hate 12-string, due to some players feeling the neck is too narrow for a 12-string. I'd hate to fight my way through rush hour traffic, just to find out that the neck is a big downer for me. So, as I mentioned I'm on the fence about going.

Well, I finally weakened and added one of the new W series Rics to my existing collection of walnut Rics (shown above in this topic).
I opted for the 330-6W, as I already own a 360-shape walnut Laguna and I confess that I prefer the black dot markers on the maple neck of the 330-6W and 330-12W. The guitar is everything I could have hoped for - and more: a fantastic figured walnut grain front and back (see photos below), a warm and mellow tone and a really comfortable neck profile. In short, superb!
Many thanks to Tim Lobley of Sound Affects Premier in Ormskirk, UK, for supplying this exquisite Ric guitar and being such a pleasure to deal with.

Really nice walnut, James!

I would have loved to see the back side be the front, wonderful figuring back there.

Putting a deposit down on a Lefty 360/12W with Pick of the Ricks.
Hoping it will actually materialize and take less than 3 years.

I got my 360/6w last week and I love it. At first I thought the triangly inlays doesen't fit to the color of the bright maple. But it looks awesome in reality.
And the sound of the guitar without an amp is more loud that a usual 360 is my impression. I love that...
Once I owned a 650 Dakota with walnut-wings. But I had to sold it, because the neck was to wide for me.
@John:
What about the thought to release a 620w ? That would be a dream come true for me. I would buy two of them...
Kind regards from germany

- my 360w
