Of course I'll bring mine. It has the best neck profile of all my other basses!
Any other 4005ers out there?

Looks like at LEAST 4 4005's......
Columbus would be the most likely location....I am making plans on staying at a Hampton Inn west of Columbus as we will be attending the Springfield Extravaganza weekend antiques festival the weekend of May 16-18....which is about 40 miles west of Columbus. So....if anyone knows of a "venue" where we could assemble nearby...
Any others?

I'll check those dates, Chris. I am an appraiser on the Antiques Roadshow and that's close to when filming starts for the summer sessions. Otherwise, I'll show. This would be a gas. Also I'd love to attend the antiques festival. I don't know Columbus but if that could be a home-base I'd vote for that. America West flys directly into it. Lucky for me.

Cool Mike! Which one are you on the show? I don't always catch the names of the appraisers but we watch that show ALL the time....we get a kick out of the Kovels show too..
We have a booth at a nearby antique mall which does fairly well and we travel around looking for "bargains", lol!! Helps me fund my RIC addiction AND pay the rent!!

I will be on the shows that filmed in Reno & Portland. I work with one other friend of mine with sports memorabilia. They start airing the last week in March through the first week in May. They don't tell us which shows we're on. I will probably be on most of them.

Looks like May 16th-18th is when I'll be there....the actual date of the "confluence" hasn't been established yet....You're more than welcome to join us .....as long as you don't disappear with my 4005 and bring it back as a 5 string!

Alright, Jeff! I was hoping you would come down. I know it isn't real close to Cleveland. All of us would really like to meet you! I've been looking at the pod but just haven't got much extra time. I'm not gigging like you anymore. I get together with old friends and play for fun when I return to Los Angeles, where I grew up.
There's no particular place scheduled yet. My guess is that we'll find a hotel somewhere in the heart of Columbus. We'll follow the lead of whoever first speaks up.

don't worry Chris ... I only play solid body basses ...
but have you seen this one???
every time I think I am crazy for doing 4 to 5 conversions I look as this bass that Ric produced ... then I feel more normal ...

Hey, if ya' like I can bring my 4003s8 and part of my rig down to Columbus for everyone's use (unless, of course, someone else was aching to bring a more portable solution).
Ampeg SVP-Pro preamp with 1000 watt poweramp and 2x10 and 1x15 Mesa cabinets.
