Erik, I was kidding. Image I actually started out on bass fiddle in orchestra, played it thru junior high and high school, during which I bought a bass guitar to play with my friends in a band (a viola bass, then a 70's P Bass). After graduation, we all went separate ways and lost touch. One day, 25 years later, I got an email asking if I'm the same person who used to play in the band. I was. I went out and bought a new bass (old ones sold long ago, <sigh>), and we started getting together and playing again. It's only once every 4-8 weeks, but hopefully will become more frequent since I've found some old friends who live locally.
If it ain't broke, break it, then fix it.
