Is this normal ? (bloody 4003 pic warning)

I made my own plate. It wasnt a huge success. The pickup wasnt then fully adjustable, it looked too plasticcy and I just didnt like it. The chrome cover is back on now. I have tried to upload a picture but I havent got the hang of it yet. New digital camera and I dont know how to save the images in a smaller format. It just tells me that I have exceeded the maximum dimensions of 500x500. I have no idea how to overcome this. If I do I will post the image.
