You've got your quote wrong--it's boats, a hole in the water into which you throw your money.

Unless you live on a tiny island or in a city with good public transport, cars are a necessity. Boats are not (unless you live on a tiny island!)

It is possible to throw money into an automotive black hole. But, then, your attitude on this depends on your priorities in life.

I've never scraped a puffin off my car John. Probably because my car doesn't HAVE a John.

I allus thought that THIS was a puffin. (Icelandic, high roughage diet, etc...). Image
