That is a good looking Precision.The closest I have to that is a custom 2octive fretless '77 Precision
neck on a 2000 MIM jazz body.It plays like a dream,
very low action.The only boo-boo I made was being impatient and splitting the headstock putting a gold
ferrule in the E tuner hole.Let's make that 2 boo-boo's because I let some hack try to fix it and he really messed up the finish on the top.
Still plays nice though.The reason I asked about Entwistle was because I was watching The Kid's Are Allright and there's a clip of him playing the pink beast and it sounded just like the Live at Leeds album.Thanks.

I never liked the sunburst finish or tortise pickguards ... on any instrument ...

A basic black fender with a white perloid pick guard and a maple fretboard is a nice look ... and I love the look of the Geddy Lee style bass ...

They all have their own qualities. That's why we "need" more than one bass. Here's my small collection.
I need to add a maple neck / ash body P-bass, a Hofner '63 reissue, and a 4001V68!

Yeah that a real nice 73 Bob, I also like the basic Sunbursts like the jazz above. I had a nice candy apple red 68 P bass/white pickguard with a 66 jazz neck on it, was a pretty bass.

Thanks Jeff, thanks Bob, she is rather pretty for a F****R ! I'm thinking of trading her for another Ric though...... I often take her on stage but always seem to end up with a Ric for most of the night.

P basses can sound Ric-like. Listen to Rush's first album - that is a P with Rotosound Rounds. I always assumed that bass break in Working Man was the Ric, but he hadn't bought it yet.

3 band Stingray,G&L Trib L2500,72 fretless Pbass,72 Pbass, JazzV, and 51 re-issue
I play blues and roots music and the 51 has been doing most of my gigs. I just picked up my first Ric to ad to the non Fender stable. I also have a Rivoli, a Dano Longhorn and a Hofner

I posted a pic in the "horseshoe looking cover" thread.It's an '80 fireglow and is in very nice shape considering.....
I had wanted to get a Ric for a long time.
I don't think it sounds like a Pbass at all and am really happy with the sound. It plays like a dream.
