Is it still cold there Melissa?

BTW, I know what you are going through. A while back I waited two days for my vintage Fender Twin Reverb to get acclimatized before I tried it out.

Any chance of some pics in the near future, Melibee? I'd like to see a shot of it and your 325 side by side.

Brian, the weather is actually not too bad for this time of year--about 20 degrees fahrenheit, and lightly snowing.... I should have the case opened by late tomorrow afternoon.

Aitch, I plan to get some pics as soon as possible--if I can tear my hubby away from the business, which he is frantically working at after a week off, LOL! Image

Just opened the case, and am utterly breathless at how beautiful this guitar is..... Magnificent. Fabulous. Perfect pretty purpleburst....and she plays like a dream, and sounds as wonderful as she looks--flawless. I am head-over-heels in love with this exquisite guitar.... Just came up for air--gotta go play some more!

In looking at it, you would never even guess that it had suffered any damage of any kind....as I said, it is perfect.

Thank you, Paul! Thank you very very much.... Truly a dream come true. It's all good. Very good....

You're welcome, Melissa!

Now, on to the 481. Color chips first--I'll spray 'em up tomorrow. I've got several sets to do for various customers...

Melissa, I can only imagine how good it looks in person! The fretboard refinish Paul did on my 4004 Laredo is perfect.....you can't see any hint that it wasn't a factory job (at least I can't and I'm pretty picky). A full refinish must be even more impressive and judging by the lack of blend lines or color variation on my partial job I'm sure his touch-ups are indistinguishable.

You are happy and we are all happy too.

Significant in all this is the classy way it has been handled.

Play on Melissa. Enjoy.

Paul and Melissa, thanks for both playing a leading role in what has been a most enjoyable thread. The story has been fantastic, full of mystery and suspense, emotional highs and lows whilst featuring a damn fine instrument! Stand up and take a bow! (insert sound of Rickenbacker Forum members cheering here).

Don't you just love a nice "happily ever after" ending, LOL! Image

....And the story will continue with Part 2, the 481, coming soon!
